ABOUT

Kristy Reid is a Twin Cities–based theatre professional, vintage curator, and storyteller drawn to the histories we carry within ourselves, through clothing, and across generations.

She works behind the scenes for some of downtown Minneapolis’s most iconic historic theatre venues and runs Youthquaker Vintage, a curated vintage clothing shop that promotes a circular fashion economy and “vintage style, not vintage values.” She loves the hunt for beautiful vintage pieces and the slow process of bringing garments back to life through thoughtful mending and care.

Her current writing and storytelling are rooted in a family archive of letters and memoir pages left behind by her grandmother, a German immigrant who rebuilt her life in rural Minnesota after World War II. Through this work, Kristy explores themes of resilience, identity, and the longing for a better life.
